ALGICON Suspension

Acid related symptoms of gastro-esophageal reflux such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion.

Dosage and Administration

Elderly and Children above 12 years old: 10-20mL after meals and before bedtime, up to 4 times a day.

Patient with history of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in this medicine.

Immune system disorders: Very rare: Anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions. Hypersensitivity reactions, such as urticaria.

Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: Very rare: Respiratory effects such as bronchospasm

Because of the appearance of calcium and carbonate as antacids in this medicine, take the following medicines at 2 hours intervals: H2 antihistamines, tetracyclines, digoxin, fluoroquinolone, iron salt, ketoconazole, neuroleptics, thyroxin, penicilamine, beta-blockers (such as atenolol, metoprolol and propanolol), glucocorticoids, chloroquine, bisphosphonates.

This medicine can be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding, if clinically needed.

Patient who is listed below should consult with doctor or pharmacist before administration:

1) Patient with congestive heart failure or renal failure who must care about sodium.

2) Patient with hypocalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis and recurrent calcium containing renal calculi.

3) In administration of this drug to the children under 12 years, should get diagnosis from doctor.
