MAGNOMINT Tablet

Hyperacidity - Antacid and dimethicone combinations are indicated for the symptomatic relief of heartburn sour stomach and/or acid indigestion.

Dosage

Adult: 1-2 tablets to be chewed as required, after or between meals ad at bedtime; or as directed by the physician.

Children: Over 6 years: 1/2 adult dose.

Below 6 years: Not recommended otherwise as consulted by the physician.

Renal function impairment.

Constipation, mild diarrhoea or laxative effect, nausea or vomiting. speckling or whitish discoloration of stools (concentrations of fatty acids-salts of aluminium ), stomach cramps.

Do not take this medications:

- if symptoms of appendicitis or inflamed bowel are present, checking with physician for proper diagnosis.

- within 1-2 hours of other oral medication.

Antacids - react chemically to neutralize or buffer existing quantities of stomach acid, but have no direct effect on its output. This action results in increased pH value of stomach contents, thus providing relief of hyperacidity symptoms.

Dimethicone - acts in vitro to lower surface tension of gas bubbles. Its relevance to action in vivo is not clearly established.
