SIOMIN Tablet

Cardiogenic shock; non-compensated cardiac insufficiency; atrio-ventricular blockade of gradeⅡand Ⅲ; clinically relevant bradycardia. Combination treatment with verapamil is contraindication.

Adverse reactions are related to the pharmacological effect, and dose-dependent. Most common is fatigue, including muscle weakness, which has been reported among 0.5-5% of all treated patients.

Common

General: Weakness, fatigue, peripheral extremity coolness and freezing.

Circulation: Bradycardia with heart rate below 50 beats/minutes at rest.

Gastrointestinal: Diarrhoea, nausea.

Less common

Central nervous system: Sleep disturbances.

Rare

General: Vertigo, headache

Blood: Thrombocytopenia

Circulation: Worsening of cardiac insufficiency, AV blockade, postural hypotension (rare), syncope

Central nervous system: Nightmares, hallucinations, depression, and psychoses

Skin: Alopenia, skin eruptions, psoriasis-like reaction and exacerbation of psoriasis, purpura

Eyes: Dry eyes, disturbed vision.

Insulin or oral antidiabetic agents

Use in pregnancy

Beta-receptor blockers may cause bradycardia in fetus and in newborn. During the last trimester and around time for partus, beta-blockers should therefore only be given in case of pressing indications.

Use in nursing mother

(See the package insert about the details.) Tensiomin is not recommended in nursing mothers.

Use with extreme care in:

Patients with bronchial asthma and other obstructive lung disease.

Concomitant treatment with inhalation anesthetics.

Combination treatment with digitalis or class I antiarrhythmic drugs, because a synergistic effect has been noted at the myocardium.

Patients with intermittent claudication.

Patients with very decreased kidney function.
