RHINATHIOL ENFANTS Syrup

The usuao dosage is as follows:

Children aged 2 to 5 years: one 5mL measuring spoon twice a day.

Children aged over 5 years: one 5mL measuring spoon three times a day.

Treatment duration should be short.

Do not exceed 8 to 10 days of treatment without consulting your doctor.

Known allergy to one of the ingredients of the medicine (particularly methyl parahydroxybenzoate and other parabens),

Infants (under 2 years of age), as there is a risk of worsening the airway congestion.

Risk of worsening airway congestion in infants.

Allergic skin reactions such as itching, skin rash, hives and swelling of the face.

Some cases of fixed drug eruption (brown spots on the skin) have been reported.

Possible digestive disorders: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain.

If any of these occur, you should reduce the dose.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if your child is taking or has recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

This medicine may only be used during pregnancy on your doctor's advice.

If you discover that you are pregnant during treatment, consult your doctor sho alone can determine whether you should continue treatment.

You may breast-feed if you are taking this medicine.

Seek medical advice if the child has:

- thick and purulent phlegm,

- a chronic (long-term) illness of the airways or lungs.

You should not give any cough suppressants or medicines that dry up phlegm during treatment with this medicine.

Use of this medicine is not recommended if the child has fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrose-isomaltase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases).

Precautions when giving this syrup for children

This medicine should be used with caution if the child has a peptic ulcer.

This syrup contains 3.5g of sucrose per measuring spoon. If the child is diabetic or on a low-carbohydrate (low-sugar) diet, this should be taken into account.

This medicine contains 13mg of sodium per 5ml measuring spoon of syrup. This should be taken into account if you are monitoring the child’s salt intake.

This medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoates (E218) and an azo dye [cochineal red A (E214)]; it can cause allergic reactions.

MUCOLYTIC (R: Respiratory system)

This medicine is used to make phlegm more fluid, thus making it easier to cough up.

It is intended for use in patients with congestion of lung airways, particularly during acute bronchitis.
