OFLOCET Tablet

Urinary tract infections, gynecological and prostate infections, bone and joint infections, respiratory tract infections, ear and sinus infections, skin infections, abdominal and liver infections, following exposure to anthrax

Dosage:

Adults- 400mg/day in 2 divided doses (morning and evening)

In certain bronchial infections, the dosage is 400mg/day taken as a single dose.

The dose may varies according to the severity of the infection or if the patients have kidney or liver function.

Exceptional treatment of children and adolescents (the doses given are based on the child's bodyweight)- 10 to 15mg/kg/day as two daily dose, without exceeding 400mg/day as two divided doses.

Patients allergic to ofloxacin, other quinolones or any of the other ingredients

Patients with epilepsy

Patients who have ever had tendon problems with antibiotics beloging to the same group of Oflocet.

A childe or a growing adolescent

Pregnant or breast-feeding

headache, dizziness, sleeping problems, cough, tendonitis, muscle weakness, diarrhea, loss of appetite, jaundice, etc.

Corticosteroids, oral anticoagulants, theophylline, NSAIDs, anti-arrhythmics, probenecid, medicines containing iron, zinc, antacids containing magnesioum or alumium, sucralfate, strontium, etc.

Pregnant or breast-feeding women should not use Oflocet.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have joint swelling and pain and tendonitis during the treatment.
