NEUFLO Tablet

As adjuvant therapy in chronic paranasal sinusitis, bleeding during or after minor dental or urological surgery.

Dosage

For adults: 1/4-1 tab, three times daily.

Neuflo is contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to Lysozyme.

Rash, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, and shock reaction.

In the presence of serious renal insufficiency, dosage should be adjusted to compensate of the excretion.

1. Lysozyme is a mucopolysaccharidase which is active against Gram-positive bacteria possibly by transforming the insoluble polysaccharides of the cell wall to soluble mucopeptides. It is also active against some viruses and some ram-negative bacteria.

2. Lysozyme has been claimed to enhance the activity of some antimicrobial preparations when given concomitantly.

3. Lysozyme catalyses the hydrolysis of beta-1,4-glycoside link of N-acetylneuraminic resides in sialic acids. These substances occur in the cell walls of many bacteria.

4. Lysozyme occurs in the lacrimal secretions, mucus secretions in the nasal passages, salvia and gastric secretions and serves to protect against bacterial attack.

5. The metabolism of Lysozyme in the organism in rater complex and molecular weight (MW=15000), it is filtered at glomerular level.
