HOROMPELIN Injection

1. When Horompelin mixes with any alkaline injectable solution, turbidity or precipitation will produce in the mixture.

2. Gastrointestinal hemorrhage, obstruction, or perforation; epilepsy; clients taking drugs likely to cause extrapyramidal symptoms, such as phenothiazines, Pheochromocytoma.

3. Hypersensitive to the compositions of Horompelin.

Restless, drowsiness fatigue & lassitude; hallucinations; acute dystonic reactions. Tardive dyskinesia.

In rare cases, some children may become somnolent or have mild muscular tension. However, these are temporary reactions which will disappear when stopping use of Horompelin and keeping the children quiet.

1. Horompelin shall not be used in pregnant women.

2. Special precautions: Extrapyramidal symptoms; hypertension.

Horompelin acts on the gastrointestinal tract regulation center in the brainstem with the following properties and pharmaceutical actions:

To regulate the gastrointestinal tract- It increases peristalsis of stomach and promotes the contents of stomach to move forwards to intestines. Also it dilates duodenum and promotes peristalsis of duodenum so that the contents would pass duodenum faster. Horompelin can facilitate duodenal intubation’s endoscopy rapidity and completely.

Antiemetic action- It is highly effective for vomiting caused by central nerve or peripheral nerve. No influence on the secretion of gastric juice and the functions of gastric acid. No effect on circulatory system. Good absorption and low toxicity. Horompelin is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by postoperative, cancer therapy (chemotherapy or radiation) and other causes of vomiting like gastritis, gastric carcinoma and labyrinthine disturbance.
