GAMOTIL Capsule

INDICATIONS:

1. Neurotic state with inhibition

2. Psychosomatic component of organic disease.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Adult: 50 mg third daily may be administered orally.

Should comply strictly with your doctor' s prescription.

This drugs should not be used in patients with confirmed or suspected pheochromocytoma, except under close medical supervision.

Inadvisable combinations: alcohol, levodopa.

If in doubt, it is essential to request the opinion of your doctor or pharmacist.

Like all active substances, this drug can, in some people, induce more or less unpleasant effects:

1. Sedation or drowsiness, involuntary muscular contractions.

2. Orthostatic hypotension (sensation of dizziness on rising abruptly)

3. Menstrual disorders, tension in the breasts (occasionally with production of milk, disturbances of the libido). These effects are transient and reversible on discontinuation of treatment.

4. Weight again.

Any abnormal effect arising during hemoglobin treatment must be reported to the doctor.

Inform your doctor in case of any adverse reactions related to drug use.

In other to avoid possible interractions when taken more than one drug, all other treatment you are taken must be routinely reported to your doctor or pharmacist particularly in case with treatment with antihypertensives, other central nervous system depressants, certain anti Parkinsonian drugs (levodopa) and any drug containing alcohol.

In elderly, posology must be decreased, as well as in severe renal insufficiency due to renal elimination of Sulpiride.

Sulpiride must be precautionsly prescribed in epileptic patients due to its ability to decease the epileptogenic threshold.
