Symptomatic treatment

- of pain related to functional disturbance of the gastrointestinal tract and bile duct,

- of pain, transit disturbances and intestinal discomfort related to intestinal functional disturbance.

Oral route

Use for adult only: Take 1 tablet three times daily.

In exceptional cases, the dosage may be increased up to 6 tablets per day.

Hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients of the product.

Pregnancy

Trimebutine should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit to the patient outweighs the risk to the patient and fetus.

Lactation

Safety for use in lactation has not been established.

Gastrointestinal motility modifier. Peripheral enkephainergic agonist. Trimebutine stimlates intestial motility (triggering phase-3 waves propaated by the migrating motor complex) and inhibits it in the event of prior stimulation.
