CLAMOXYL Capsule

Treatment of infections caused by sensitive bacteria or the treatment of certain gastric or duodenal ulcers in adults.

Only for use by adults and children over 6 years of age.

Dosage varies depending on the disease being treated.

- For adults: from 1g to 6g per 24 hours

-For children: from 25mg/kg to 150mg/kg per 24 hours.

Particular case of some tonsillitis's treatment:

-For adults: 2g twice a day

-For children over 30 months of age: 50mg/kg/day twice a day, during 6 days

The does should be adjusted in the case of renal impairment

This medicine can be taken at any time, before, during or after meals

Generally two to three does per day

Allergy to antibacterial agents belonging to betactam antibiotic family (penicillins or cephalosporine) or to the other ingredients.

This medicine should not generally be used in combination with methotrexate (an immunosuppressant)

Nausea, diarrhoea, vomitting, urticaria and itching, convulsions, dizziness, inflammation of the kidney

Methotrexate

If necessary, this medicine can be taken during pregnancy

Breast-feeding is possible while taking this medicine if the baby does not suffer problems such as diarrhea, skin rash after the mother taking this medicine.

Drink plentiful amounts of liquid during treatment
