In patients with a known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, erythromycin or any of the macrolide antibiotics.

  • ផលរំខាន

The most common side effects are related to the gastrointestinal tract, e.g. nausea, flatulence, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain. Rare side effects include abnormal liver tests, allergic reactions, and nervousness.

  • អន្តរប្រតិកម្ម

Azithromycin should not be taken at the same time as aluminum or magnesium based antacids, because antacids will bind the azithromycin and prevent it from being absorbed from the intestine.

  • ការប្រុងប្រយ័ត្នជាពិសេស

If you have severe kidney or liver disease, your physician may choose to lower the dose of azithromycin normally given or opt not to prescribe this medication at all.

Azithromycin is principally eliminated via the liver, caution should be exercised when azithromycin is administered to patients with impaired hepatic function. Before taking azithromycin, tell your doctor if you are allergic to it; or to other antibiotics (such as erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin); or if you have any other allergies.
