ZOTEL Tablet

For the treatment of Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (common roundworm), Strongyloides stercoralis, Ancylostoma doudenale (common hookworm), Necator americanus (American hookworm).

Dosage and Administration

1. In adults and children aged 2 years or over:

1) Ascaris lumbricoides, Enterobius vermicularis, Ancylostoma doudenale, Trichuris trichiura, Necator americanus: 400mg as a single dose.

2) Strongyloides stercoralis: 400mg daily for 3 days.

3) Taenia: 400mg daily for 3 days.

2. Enterobiasis in children aged 2 years or over: 1/2 tablet as a single dose, administer it after 7 days again.

3. Chew it or take it with a little water and the particular processes are not necessary like interruption of meal or use of purgative, etc.

If the helminth is not exterminated after 3 weeks of the treatment, execute 2nd administration.

1. Patients who have shown hypersensitivity to albendazole or any component of this drug

2. Pregnancy woman or woman with pregnant potentiality

Infants aged under 2 years

Vomiting, diarrhea, headache and gastrointestinal disturbance have been reported.

Patients should be informed of the potential risk to the fetus in women taking ZOTEL during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester. Patients should also be informed that cleanliness is important to prevent reinfection and transmission of the infection.
