BROMCOLIX Caplet

In the treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid or excessive mucus or productive cough.

This include: Tracheobronchitis, Bronchitic with emphysema, Bronchiectasis, Bronchitis with bronchospasm, Chronic inflammatory pulmonary conditions, Pneumoconiosis.

Dosage and administration

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 capsule twice daily

Children 6-12 years of age: 1 capsule once daily.

Take the drug immediately after meals.

To those who are hypersensitive to Bromhexine Hydrochloride.

Gastrointestinal side effects may occur occasionally with bromhexine and a transient rise in serum aminotransferase values has been reported. Other reported adverse effects include headache, vertigo (dizziness), sweating and allergic reactions.

Avoid combination of Bromhexine with antitussives or drugs reducing Atropine-like bronchial mucus secretion.

Precaution is required.

Since mucolytics may disrupt the gastric mucosa so Bromhexine should be used with care in patients with a history of peptic ulceration. Care is also advisable in asthmatic patients.

Avoid to use in combination with antitussives because it can causes a risk of sputum stagnancy in the respiratory tract.

In patients with asthma because Bromhexin may induce bronchial spasm in some people who are easily hypersensitive.

In fatigue patients, weak habitus with no ability to expectorate.

Patients with a history of gastrohelcoma.

Driving vehicles and operating machinery.
